Q. Does my entry fee for the 5K allow me to run in the Fun Run for free?
A. Yes. If you have paid for and registered for the 5K, you may run the Fun Run after the 5K at no additional charge.
Q. How far is the Family fun Run?
A. The Fun Run is 1-mile
Q. Can I walk the 5K?
A. Absolutely! We welcome walkers AND runners.
Q. Can I register on Race Day?
A. Yes! You may register on Friday, May 12th between 11:30-2pm or 5:30-8pm at the Ramsey Pool during packet pickup or on Race Day, Saturday, May 13th beginning at 7am at the Registration table, outside the Ramsey Pool. In person registration fees are $35 for the 5K and $25 for the Fun Run.
Q. What are the accepted methods of payment on race day?
A. On race day, we can accept Credit Card, Cash or Check.
Q. Do I have to register online?
A. No. You may choose to print the paper registration form found under “Event Info” on this site. Print one for each participant.
Q. Where and when can I pick up my race packet?
A. Race packets will contain everything you need including your bib, chip and race shirt. They can be picked up on Friday May 12th 11:30-2pm OR 5:30-8pm, at the Ramsey Pool - 75 E Oak St. Ramsey NJ. You may also pick up your packet on race day starting at 7am.
Q. Can I have someone else pick up my race packet?
A. Yes. You may have someone pick up your packet. Please give them all the names of registrants from your family.
Q. Where can I park?
A. Please park in the Municipal Pool lot or on one of the side streets around the pool. By 8:15 E. Oak Street will close, so please arrive early to leave time for parking.
Q. What is your refund policy?
A. All entry fees are non-refundable and non-transferable. You may still pick up your packet (or have someone else do so) before the race even if you cannot run.
Q. What happens if it rains?
A. “Sprint for Our Schools” is a rain or shine event. No refunds will be given. Your donation is going to a great cause!
Q. Can I leave my child(ren) at the starting line while I run the 5K?
A. No. Please leave your children in the care of a responsible guardian of your choosing if they are waiting for the Fun Run to start, and you cannot be with them.
Q. Can I bring my dog?
A. NO. We know many dogs are friendly, but for the comfort of all participants many of whom will be young children, please leave animals at home.
Q. Can I or my children participate on a bicycle, a scooter, wagon, skateboard, or rollerblades?
A. NO. For the safety of all, none of the above will be permitted on the course.
Q. Does Family Sponsorship allow entry into the 5K?
A. FOUR (4) 5K entries are included with a Family Sponsorship. Also included is entry into the Fun Run for your immediate family members (in the same household).
Q. Can a business or other organization sign up for a Family Sponsorship?
A. No. Family Sponsorships are just for families. There are various levels of Business Sponsorship opportunities available.
